PFM CEO Susan attended Tajikistan's 35th Independence Anniversary celebration at Dushanbe National Stadium, where some 35,000 citizens gathered in traditional attire. She shared reflections on architecture: the stadium has grown from a construction project into part of the city's life through cross-border collaboration. What endures is not construction difficulties, but the change it brings and moments people experience. A building matters most when truly used by the people.

PFM designed and executed the decorative structures, detailing, and concealed lighting for five landscape bridges around Tajikistan's new National Stadium in Dushanbe. Overcoming challenge—missing old drawings, load limitations, and complex curved panels—PFM applied strict safety, 3D modeling, and concealed wiring standards. Collaborating through a "Chinese technology + local resources" model, PFM delivered a high-quality landmark environment, showcasing its full-chain engineering capabilities.

In 2023, the Dushanbe National Stadium was a deserted framework. By August 2026, PFM turned it into a national landmark. Overcoming structural risks, complex geology, and precise aluminum curves, PFM finished the roof in 4.5 months and completed the iconic "water ripple" facade. This project showcases Chinese design and BRI friendship.

Designed by Chinese firm PFM, Tajikistan’s new 30,000-seat National Stadium opened in Dushanbe for the 35th independence anniversary. Built to FIFA Category 2 standards, the 42,000 m² venue features top-tier facilities, including giant LED screens, BOSE audio, and a presidential signature fountain, as cited by local media Asia-Plus and the ECO.

On August 21, 2026, the Tajikistan National FIFA Stadium in Dushanbe was grandly inaugurated by President Rahmon. Inspired by Tajikistan's mountains and rivers, PFM engineered a world-class landmark featuring a unitized aluminum curtain wall with 13,000 custom panels. Completed in just two years with extensive factory pre-assembly, the project showcases PFM's international excellence in cross-border design, quality, and engineering management.

On August 21, 2026, the Tajikistan National Stadium was officially inaugurated in Dushanbe. As an important participant in the project, PFM worked closely with the teams involved to transform design concepts into a modern landmark, marking an important milestone for Tajikistan’s sports development and PFM’s collaboration with Tajikistan.

PFM took part in the full design of the facade lighting, landscape and bridges for this project. Our work adds unique charm to the sports arena, which has grown into a famous landmark in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, and will become a new landmark across Central Asia. As a major public sports facility in Dushanbe,the National Stadium of Tajikistan serves both national and regional needs, demonstrating durability, performance, and long-term value for large-scale stadium architecture in Central Asia.

This article recounts Susan’s real experiences in mining operations on the Pamir Plateau and in multiple cross-border collaborations. Facing high-altitude conditions, complex environments, and management challenges, she did not begin with prior mining expertise, yet chose to step forward once trust was placed in her. Through hands-on practice, she learned to manage teams, control risks, and engage professional expertise, holding “not betraying trust” as a guiding principle.

The Tajikistan National Stadium project is now entering its final stage. All exterior façade works have been completed, and the project was successfully delivered ahead of the Spring Festival. Originally planned for completion in June 2026, the stadium was finished a full four months ahead of schedule.

In stadium structural strengthening projects, real safety is determined not by visible workmanship, but by the materials and standards embedded within the structure.
