Crossing Mountains for a Brighter Future | PFM Donates Computers to Support the Education of Children in Tajikistan
In the remote mountains of Tajikistan, an elderly school principal hiked over rugged terrain to visit PFM’s mining site, where he made a humble request to our site manager, A Long: could Susan provide a few used computers for his students? His sincerity moved us deeply. Even in such harsh conditions, he was doing everything he could to create better opportunities for the children in his care.
Touched by his story, PFM founder Susan made a decision: we wouldn’t send used equipment—we would send 50 brand-new computers, fully installed with Russian-language systems, along with a personal letter from her. After a long journey across borders and mountains, the computers finally reached the small primary school at the foot of the hills.

The children’s bright eyes and repeated handshakes spoke volumes. Their gratitude was simple, pure, and incredibly powerful.

We know that what we can donate is limited. But what we hope to bring is something far greater—hope. At PFM, we may be small, but we believe even the smallest spark can ignite a fire. May this spark inspire more people to join us, so together we can turn small acts of kindness into lasting change.
